I design learning environments that get people excited about induction cooking and equitable food futures.
Currently, as an “intrapreneur” at the Building Decarbonization Coalition, I'm building the first-of-its-kind Chefluencer Program with my team. We promote induction cooking across foodways and food traditions. In the last 1.5 years, we've mobilized 30+ industry-leading chefs as climate leaders to demonstrate and inspire audiences using induction.
Why induction? Kitchens are the heart of the home, and we cannot build a fossil-fuel-free future if gas stoves remain in our buildings.
I hold a BA in Earth and Planetary Sciences from Harvard University, where I assisted in climate, integrated farming systems, and food security research.
In my downtime, I love reading about the origins of different soups and how they came to be. Soup is the best! I also like daydreaming in my garden while plotting my next induction meal party.
I am always eager to learn, connect, and collaborate with co-conspirators who share my vision and values.
Values
These values ground and direct my work.
Subsidiarity: Political and social issues are best resolved when those closest to day-to-day issues possess the agency, autonomy, means, and power to enact solutions.
Generativity: I believe our collective anxiety around climate, economics, and politics can be mitigated by spending time on the generative power of creation and iteration.
Abundance: There is more than enough for us all to live healthy, happy lives on this planet. Racial capitalism robs us of this abundance. In the ways that I can, I foster an ethic of abundance in the work I do. I do not believe in manufactured urgency. The climate crisis did not materialize overnight. It will not be solved overnight. But it will be solved.
